About
If you find yourself in the charming town of Benson, North Carolina, make sure to swing by The Grind Coffee House & Creamery. Nestled conveniently at 607 A E Main St, this cozy gem blends a dynamic coffee house experience with the delightful sweetness of a creamery, creating an oasis for both coffee aficionados and dessert lovers alike.
The menu is a delightful mix, featuring all-day offerings that cater to various tastes. For coffee lovers, options like the Classic Cold Brew (US$3.00) and Larry's Nitro (US$5.50) provide invigorating starts to your day. Those wanting to brew at home can grab 12 Oz Whole Beans for just US$15.00, with grinding available upon request. Coffee enthusiast Roshanda shares that the coffee here ranks an impressive 8/10, which speaks volumes about its quality.
If you have a penchant for boba tea, The Grind excels with a range of options including the popular Matcha Latte (US$9.00) and the flavor-packed Boba Thai Tea (US$8.00). One recent customer, Caitlin, praised the matcha after moving back from Asia, noting the generous serving of boba, though there’s room for improvement in texture.
But it doesn’t stop there. Customers can indulge in Indian snacks, such as the Junior Pack (2 Samosas and 3 Vegan Spring Rolls for US$6.99) and the Value Pack (4 Samosas and 6 Vegan Spring Rolls for US$10.99), making it a perfect spot for a quick bite or a light meal. These savory treats complement the sweet offerings, like their delightful ice cream, which has garnered praise from visitors. Stephenie recently highlighted the seasonal Pumpkin Ice Cream, encouraging everyone to try the decadent Special Sundae before it's gone—topped gloriously with whipped cream and cherry, it's pure autumn joy in a bowl.
The atmosphere at The Grind is welcoming, with a clean and friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee before hitting the road or settling in to savor every bite of ice cream, the service is consistently excellent. As Greg & Melanie put it, the dedication of the staff to individual customer satisfaction is a rare find in today’s fast-paced world.

“ The wings here are delicious!! And they let me get all flats!! Coffe 8/10 and ice cream 8/10. Very clean. Very friendly. Check them out. ”
“ Just moved back to the states after living in Asia. I have been on the hunt for boba in the area. Finally! Some decent matcha! I ordered a matcha latte with boba. The latte itself was fantastic. The boba could have been firmer but still good! I was also given a generous portion of boba which was nice! Will definitely be back. ”
“ Local coffee shop right off i95! Open through the week and on sundays! Offers an array of coffees and other items such as boba! Prices are reasonable as well. The service was quick and the atmosphere inside was really welcoming. Offers other local treats inside from local gluten-free bakery JPs. It’s connected to the gas station so it’s a one stop for everything ! ”
“ Every October a few couples from our church come to this area to rest & refuel. We stumbled on this quaint little coffee shop and creamery on our way out of town. Once we went, we were hooked! I am a coffee shop’s worst nightmare when it comes to making me a coffee. However, the owner was incredibly kind to take my ‘instructions’ and went above & beyond to make sure I was satisfied. That degree of service is a rare find! In addition, the food & baked goods were awesome. And ice cream is always a plus! Don’t miss this gem tucked away by a gas station! Well worth the stop! ”
“ The Grind now has Pumpkin Ice Cream which is seasonal so get it now before it’s all gone. I suggest the Special Sundae with these toppings: Hershey syrup, strawberry syrup, maple walnuts, pumpkin syrup topped with whip cream & cherry. It’s the best! ”
“ My husband and I stopped here for an afternoon coffee break on a long road trip. This little gem looks more like a pizza or ice cream shop with tables and a big screen TV, but we decided the owner realized they were in a great location and made sure just about everyone, coffee lovers included, can stop in and find something they like. The coffee was great and we were very impressed with the huge selection of gluten free vegan bar cookies and cake -- made a local bakery in town and packaged in plastic containers. Don't hesitate to stop in, you won't be disappointed! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. ”
“ Checked this place out for the first time today. It is a very nice shop! Family owned and operated and they are awesome! They went out of their way to make my custom request, and even modified it a few times until it was what I was looking for. My wife REALLY enjoyed her espresso ice cream and iced coffee as well. Great selection of snack cakes and sweets also. Today might have been my first visit, but it CERTAINLY won't be my last. This is a great addition to this community and I'm glad to have the opportunity to support them. I almost forgot to mention that they're open on Sunday which is rare for coffee shops in this area. The response said they put my drink on the menu. It was there for about a day. Then taken down and the recipe thrown away. Haven't been back since. My third visit on the fourth day was my last. ”
